This is what you get when you combine 18" of snow and temps well below average
in early december. Found on Dec. 15th in one of our food plots. Passed on this buck
last weekend, if not for a broken G4 it would gross around 150+.
Seen 2 others that have dropped also. Should be a good year for scoopin' around here.
Deer are really yarded up.

Ed - you're not the first guy who has picked up some sheds this year already. A few guys in the Bowhunting forum, also from WI, have been finding some as well. Seems like they're really dropping early this year.

I've got another month of hunting left, then after a little break it'll be time to start picking up sheds already. My how the time flies!!!!

Good god, like killing a mature buck isn't hard enough this time of year - now we have to match sheds to shed bucks before pulling the trigger.

I hate cold weather and it hates me... I'm moving to Florida for late season....

Looks like our trip to Illinois in three weeks will be a bowhunt/shed hunt.

this may sound dumb but what does cold weather have to do with shedding? if that was the case, our Florida bucks would never shed.
