We need to find out because I think an elk kill in Iowa would pretty much put WKP in a different class all-together! he he he....

Elk are protected in IA and it is illegal to kill one. I looked it up.

I would have loved to have an IA elk kill.

Hey Tyler, that's good to know. It's amazing how different it can be from state to state on different regs. I think we talked about that before. Illinois is very proactive about the CWD spread, and they are taking all kinds of actions trying to keep it from spreading and it's already spreading father south, a couple new counties showed up just a month or two ago, 1 or 2 counties farther south then it has ever been found. It's sad. Let's hope it doesn't hit Iowa.

I believe if there is no set season for a specificanimal it can be harvested with nopenalty. This falls under some "varmit" clause...

it was found in a river near milwaukee. you may be able to find the article online. very odd. i'm guessing someone had it as a pet and let it go.
