Where in WA? And what kind of upland hunting are you looking for? Pheasants? Chukar? Quail? Grouse? Huns? or what?

RE: Washington Upland hunting
Washington always seemed like a good place to hunt to me. Wide variety of animals and usually a lot of open private land (Weyerhaeuser). I have a question though...Why pay money to hunt on private land/lease/tree farm when you could just ask the land owner to hunt there and use it for free? Then maybe just send the landowners some salmon or homemade meat products. Something they don't get every day. Works good for me. The landowners I know love the pepperoni our family makes. Try it out...

RE: Washington Upland hunting
If you are going after pheasant, you need to make a trip to the paloose, or over by Colfax, Albian (not real sure of the spelling) area. There are alot of birds there, and if you ask the land owners, they are normally pretty good about letting you hunt their property. If you want to pay to hunt , there is an outfitter in Ellensburg. I cant remember the name exactly, but it is something like Cook Creek Ranch, or something. I know a guy who has hunted there to work his dog, but he was very happy with his experience.
