Help with choosing CO area for elk hunt
Hi all,
I'm in New Mexico and tired of not drawing an elk tag....any info as to which unit has a good number of elk would be greatly appreciated...also preferably in the southern half of Co... Thanks |

RE: Help with choosing CO area for elk hunt
As you probably know, CO has a large number of draw areas, but also some over the counter areas. The 2005 regs will probably be published in about 5 months or so with the applications for tags if you wish to hunt a draw area.
I provide a research service for those who wish to hunt on their own. For $35 I will research drawing and hunter success for areas, provide tag applications, and maps of areas of interest. All I require is a detailed description of the hunter, capability, physical condition, etc so I can provide a reasonable opportunity for success and hunter expectation. Southern CO offers great opportunity for hunt success, but large trophy bulls (such as those in northern NM) are really quite rare. As you know, CO elk numbers are quite high and it appears that the 2004 season was exceptional. |
