Wyoming Moose Tag

I finally am fortunate enough to draw a moose tag in Wyoming and need any info / suggestions you might have regarding the taking of a moose. Especially helpful would be any info regarding area 34.

RE: Wyoming Moose Tag

The only suggestion I have for you is to scout as much as you can, and spend as much time up hunting as you can. My father had a moose permit for area 1 up by burgees junction a few years ago, and he ended up shooting a 51" moose that was chasing a cow right next to the highway. Another hunter pulled over, and said he'd been scouting the moose my dad shot all summer long, and had filmed the moose rubbing a tree only about 800 yard from where my dad shot the moose. He was only a short distance behind us on the highway when we shot the moose, and he would have gotten it if we hadnt beat him to it. So I think that one of the best things you can do is scout as much as possible. Other than that, I dont know what to tell you. We never really used any tactics that got us into moose- my dad shot his moose on the second week of hunting.
