Turkey Hunting Near Colville

I am interested in hunting turkeys in the colville area. I hear the turkey hunting is really good. I am not really sure where to go. Is there alot of public land? Maybe someone can give me a few pointers on where to go. I have hunted the west side of the state near my home town of Graham. Seen small flocks of birds all on private land. Any help would be great!!;)

Thanks

RE: Turkey Hunting Near Colville

The few times I've hunted that area we just got DNR maps to find public land. Or you can knock on doors too. We've done that several times and most of the farmers up there are very nice. That's how I got my first turkey actually. Saw a farmer working his field and we stopped him and politely asked to hunt his land as we'd seen turkeys while driving past it. Offered him a cold Pepsi and he agreed to let us hunt.
