Wyoming turkeys

Hey guys, im going to be going out to WY to hunt turkeys this spring. just wondering if there is anyone here that hunts out there or anyone who lives in the Sundance area. Im kind of looking for success rates and peoples thoughts on hunting turkeys there. Also how is the private land? Is there a chance of getting on any? or can you suggest any public areas (i know the whole Nat. Forest is open) thanks for any help.

i dont believe in paying to hunt on land. Paying to hunt on private land is turning hunting into a richmans sport instead of anyones hobby. If people keep leasing their land out, before you know it the only place the average person will be able to hunt is public land. that is going to make it so crowded that its just not going to be worth it. Before you know it, its just like all of these hunting shows that go to the "TRIPLE 7 RANCH" and "SAMPSONS" and places like that where all they have to do is climb up in their stand or go into the blind over the bait and make the shot. to me, thats not hunting....thats being rich and shooting. thanks anyways I really do appreciate the reply.

I agree 100% RJ. I do the same thing....buy them a gift certificate or somthing. one particular guy gets a 24 pack of beer though....i dont think he would use a gift certificate to any where other than the liquor store anyways :D. super nice guy though. I am very thankful towards people who allow us to hunt on their land. when you think about it other than just being nice people, why should they let us hunt? what part of WY are you from? where do you hunt out there?
