Southern Oregon hunting? Ashland ? Sprague ?

Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, and new to hunting. My brother and I are thinking of moving to Ahland within the next few months and I was wondering how the hunting is down there. If anyone knows what type of game is out there, how common it is, and any other information, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Another Oregon Hunter

Hey there, I just got on for the first time in quite a while so I didn't see your post til today. Anyhow I am an Oregon hunter and Although I have never hunted in the Ashland area but I know that down there the wildlife is the same as what I hunt here. There are mostly black tail deer which is what you are legal to hunt in Oregon. There is likely white tail deer as well but they are not legal to hunt except for some very minimal special hunts mostly for youth hunters. There is definitely black bear down there and elk as well. Best thing to do is to get ahold of the local Department of Fish and Wildlife and or get ahold of a big game regulations synopsis.
