Flat iron outfitters
 

Has anyone ever hunted this outfit. They are in Thompson Falls Montana and I am just looking for anyone that may have been there and could tell me of there experience.

I actually booked a hunt with them next October (2014). I would be curious to hear, if you come up with any replies or feedback on them. I called and talked to a guy that was a repeat hunter with them and he had a good experience. He said that some of the elk hunting can be rough country, so be ready to get some exercise. The owner will be flat out honest with you on his success rate. It's not 80% and up, but he said most people don't succeed due to the fact that they come out and get too drunk to get out and hunt. I'll let you know, if I hear of anything else.

Following up on my elk hunt last year. My hunt was fortunately a successful one. I was lucky enough to take a 5x6 a couple days into the hunt. However, the other hunters in camp were not successful. Some did not even see an elk. Sounds like it was a common theme for the area this year.

Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. This was my first elk hunt, but I felt my guide did a very good job. Based on this experience, I would book with them again.
