Has anyone hunting any of the BGAP lands in southeastern Colorado? I'm looking at some options for leftover antelope tags and was wondering if the $40 is worth it
Thanks |
I did two seasons ago, for a left over doe antelope. The ranch that I hunted on opening day had way too many hunters on it, BUT because I happen to be in the right spot at the right time, antelope came by me and I filled my tag. I treated her just like an elk at that point, did the "no gut" method and queatered her up, threw her on my pack and went to the truck and headed home.
I'd suggest waiting 'til a few days after opening day to go. I beleive there would be a lot less pressure and still plenty of antelope to find. |
Thanks Howler

BGAP is an easy way to piss away 40 bucks. Go out there knock on a few doors and ask. I did it once and I have no idea why. Landowners hate antelope.
Some BGAP land is actually plowed ground. Good luck with that. |
I scouted some this year and it SUCKED no antelope at all
