I have to say I remember the days when the dawgs spent the season trying to achieve the ultimate goal,to become the national champions.It does seem like it has been forever but most can still remember it.But know the ultimate goal is to wait till the season end and try to take out the smaller less funded team. I wouild like to see the dawgs go back to their winnig tradition,but will always be a cougar. Good luck to the hawks!

At least the " hawks are at 80% of the 5-0 [:-] I had hoped for! Sure is a bummer to be worried about the Beavers![:o], but I think they' ll pull this one out.

:( Well here we go-Apple Cup week, Definately Have to say that this DaWg might be a little concerned about our chances Vs. the mighty Cougs. After loosing to Nevada, Arizona, and Cal-Berzerkly (Badly[:o]) I can understand the years of futility our brethren on the Palouse used to feel.[X(] in years past.

Sure was good to see that coach Gilbertson was NOT the first coach at U-Dub to be the first coach in 25 years to coach a LOOSING season- Even the Dawgfather had one of those seasons!!!!!!!! Well how about that Stanford :D game yesterday? Almost felt as good as an Apple cup to me!!!:) Cougs came close on Thursday- but it sure was nice to have the party here instead.
I don't know what was going through Ms. Hedges head when she hired Romar, but I'm sure glad she was ;)smoking it!!!!!! I;) know this is not a "great team":eek: , but we DAWGS have to look at this season as a success in round ball-now to see where it all leads.

I really didn't envision good things in South Bend last week,:( last time there wasn't goodW either...and they had a pretty good team in 96 (I believe) With Huard as QB.

Thanks guys!!!!! Another embarassing loss- kind of reminds me of 1969 when my dad, brother, friends, and I would listen to defeat after defeat up in the woods while deer and elk hunting. I only wish we still had the 2 full week elk season we had back then for M/R!!!! Even worse this week is the Cougs and hawks have a bye so there won't be great things happening there! WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!;)

I dunno on that gimme part. Man the dawgs sure look bad, I think it's not all Gilbee's fault, Newweasal left the cupboards pretty bare of anything clost to talent, but that offense looks bad. And now that E.T. got hurt who the heck can even catch the ball...if it gets to them?[:o] Oh well 1-11 with another applecup win is looking pretty good;)

As far as the Hawks I think they have taken that next step...I hope;)...thet trend last year on the road was they'd keep the game close and lose it in the end. Well this year in the two away games they let the other team stay in it, yet this time the"D" stepped up and held them down:D To me that's shows me they've finally learned how to close out aa game. You've got to respect Kieth Gilbertson for taking the "bullet" for the team last month, he was stuck with a NO WIN situation!! Hopefully he will be considered for offensive co-ordinator as that was his position in 1991. He did say he would be interested.
