New Hunter in Oregon
 

Hey guys,

First time poster, but really digging the forum here.

Have a good buddy of mine here in Portland who hunts along with a bunch of folks back home in Oklahoma; so it was only a matter of time until I caught the bug, too.

Have yet to go hunting myself or even purchase a rifle yet, but am working on education myself until then as much as I can without looking down the scope and having my hand on the trigger!

Looking forward to digging in and learning from all you old pros.

Welcome to the net and a new sport! It will be nice if you can make it into a group....these can last a lifetime!

hey borrow a gun from some one and go practice first get used to shooting and hitting your target then do some reading on what your going to hunt , good luck.

Im in the same Exact position! I grew up hunting in san diego county. I moved to wyoming and guided elk/deer/ bear hunts and had A LOT of success. I now am in Salem Oregon and I REALLLLLY want to hunt here but I don't know anything about the area or where I can hunt. I dont have a quad or horse But I can hike from hell to breakfast. So im looking for a spot I can walk into and have some fun. If someone wanted help picking tags and spots for just about anything you want to hunt in wyoming maybe we can trade wyoming info for oregon info.

well if you were a little more south i could help but im very clueless about that area :/
oregon has amazing areas to hunt beautiful forests to high deserts but sometimes ya got to put in some drivin time.
