oregon elk hunting
:bash:for orygun residents dont forget if ya didnt draw a rifle tag you can still get them for columbia basin.the only general deer ive found is on the dark side (western side)
how are the roosevelt elk? rocky mountain? aren't roosevelts OTC?
Did you guys draw anything for oregon this year? I missed out on all three choices for deer and still have a couple of years before the ochoco bull tag gets drawn again.
we have rocky mnt elk in eastern oregon.why hunt the ochico?theres all kinds of big bulls in the silvies unit and others and not as crowded.theres that big dude hunting ranch in the silvies and they always feed them,so the population around it aint bad
There are some big bulls in the ochoco unit too. It is crowded though. My brother has always hunted there and that is how I get to hunt with him. Weve always done pretty good there. I believe there are more elk than deer in the ochocos.

Would any of you guys happen to know if there is a decent elk population around the 3 sisters and diamond peak areas.
