Quotas for special permits
 

The deer units I put in for with my daughter don' t look very promissing [:' (]. It seems they cut alittle more than half of the permits being issued from 75 antlerless to 35. Getting drawn for those tags was hard enough. Now it' s like shoveling $hit against the tide. With the mild winters we' ve been haveing it just seems alittle dramatic. Anybody else notice these changes.

Don' t mean to make you feel worse about it but Colorado is just the opposite. We can get two elk tags again this year and we can also have two deer tags this year for the first time. The hunting life is good here, for now at least.

BlackLab, I know that one of the antlerless deer tags I always put in for fell a couple years ago from a success rate of over 50% to now less than 25%.:(
