Alaska question !
If there's anyone from Alaska I would like to asked a few questions.Next month the wife and I are flying to AK.She'll be on business and I'll be tagging along.I see there's no problem taking my Ruger Alaskan on the airlines.
My question is .........Is there anything I need to know about carrying a handgun in AK? I have NC and a FL Non-resident CCW permits.I know AK honors most if not all CCW's. Is open carry legal there? We will be be driving through allot of wilderness and would feel allot better having bear medicine with me. Any and all infomation you can shed would be greatly appreciated. . Thanks __________________ |

I believe AK and VT are the only 2 states in the nation where anyone can carry without a permit etc...I really wouldn't think it would be an issue.

Thanks guys. According to www.handgunlaw.us AK says anyone that is legal to own a firearm can carry without a permit.
(* Vermont (VT) & Alaska (AK). Anyone who can legally own a firearm can carry it concealed. No Permit/license is required.)Looks like my Ruger Alaskan will be a true Alaskan. I appreciate the replies. |
