ANY sw oregon bear hunters
 

Hey everybody it is hunting season here in oregon againanybody hunting bear ? some of you southwest oregon hunters have emailed me last year, well what is everyone hunting for this year . Me I will be hunting western rifle deer and fall bear and upland game birds. sure would like to hear from any and all oregon hunters .

I was bear hunting... Untill I filled my tag

Since it is illegal to bait bears in Oregon I looked over a clear cut where the loggers cleared all the trees out and I spotted this bear working its weight into some brush. So I got up within 30 yards of it and I figured that was well within bow range so I nocked my arrow and then it started to move out from behind the bush. So I drew my bow back and put the 30 yard pin in the vital area and let the arrow go equipted with a slick trick broadhead and I double lunged it and it ran 10 yards and dropped over! It only weighed 200 pounds but it was around 10 years old.

Well actually it was up savage creek road way up at the top where they just clear cut not to long ago.

I'll tell you what. If you ever want to try anything new. Try hunting with a bow! I think it is a lot funner than rifle hunting cause you have to get a lot closer to the animal and then ranging the animal and by then your shaking pretty darn good:D. and then you get to draw back and settle the pin behind the shoulder! You shake even more then!
