Any word on how the elk archery season is going so far in Colorado?

Been a little too warm to make calling work real well. They have started to bugle, mostly early mornings, and right at last light. Not chasing yet, but they are gathering the herds. I was up for 4 days last week, and will be heading back up after work on Wed. to try again.

Thanks Howler, I saw your response under Big Game post too. I'm leaving in the morning for the long drive. Taking our time, plan to arrive Fri & start hunting Sat. 13th. I see weather report is calling for little rain, and temps in high 30's in mornings. Hopefully thiswill get it going real good. I went out 2 yrs ago, and didn't hear much bugling, no rut action. It was in high 70's wk I arrived, and dropped to 20's, and wintery weather by 3rd day hunt, had close to 1' snow. It shut them right down on us. But I can't wait to get back at them!
