Success odds, guided Elk in WY?
 

heading to WY this fall, early Oct for an Elk/muley combo hunt. not far from the Tetons. Can anyone share their thoughts about success rates-- guided, horseback hunt. Our priority is clearly a very nice bull. Anyone have experience hunting that time of year, are they still calling? thanks for your insights...

They usually are still rutting the first of Oct. However after the first few shots are fired things get quiet. The first year I was hunting it was on the other side of the mountain from there and there were about 5 bulls wistling on the first day. I shot one and didn't hear any after that.
