Non resident Hunting
 
Helo,[/align][/align]I moved fromEurope toUS (California) andI would like to do hunting here. Back inEurope I started to hunt when I was 16 years old andI loved it. CanI get aHunting Licence here, ifI don't have California ID? I think it all all depends on how long you have been in the state. Call your local DNR office, they should be able to help you out.

I'm sure you can get a license for sure. You may have to pay non-res fees, but I know non-us citizens can certainly hunt in the US.

you may also have to take a hunter's safety course, so I'd get to checkin' asap. Generally other states hunting licenses are respected as far as hunter's safety is concerned (although you never know with kookifornia), but whether another country's license will pass the mustard is questionable I would think

I hope you can understand this without needing a translator:D;)

if u were born befor 1949 u dont need a hunters safty course , or if u have one from europe u can use that one, i used mind from canada, i have my permanent resident card thou. i live in nebraska so i need a non resident lic when i go out of the state to hunt the same as anyone else that hunts outside there own state. if u call the cali DNR they well aswere all your needs like they did mind. check out the web site .. all CA hunting questions are here including our very inexpensive non-resident hunting license and tag[8D]

I have the Hunting licence from Czech Republic andI did call DFG. There was some girl and she didn't evenknow that Czech Republic is in Europe and than shetold methat they don't recognize the licence from Europe (only from Canada and South Africa), which is weird.
I live inSan Ramon.
