Have any of you hunted the Fort Peck area for elk during the archery season? If so did you have much luck? I myself seen allot of nice bulls but also seen allot of people as well. I haven't gotten anything out there but my buddy who was with arrowed a nice P@Y bull a few years back.

Schutzy, I've been bowhunting over there for the past5 yrs on each side of the river. I plan on being back again this year during the rut. Your right about one thing and thats people, people, people so plana good hike to get away and preperation in getting an elk out in time when temps can be 112 during the day and purt near freezing at night.Sept. is usually the rainny month and that gumbo clay can play hell. Some of those coulees are a few hundred feet straight downwith few turnoffs for meeting on comeing riggs.Make sure you bring a fishin pole cause catfishing and walleyes are some good catches there. Good Luck.

Bobby
