Relocating

We are thinking about relocating from Southern California to either Helena MT or Great Falls MT, I lived in Great Falls about 30 years ago, and hunted in Montana but I have not been back. I wanted to know how you would rate the hunting in Montana; it is a consideration for us in moving due to the fact hunting in general in Southern California s*&ks. The other location we are considering was Rapid City South Dakota...I know the weather is extreme in all of these locations but we can deal with it.

I know I would also be missing out on hog hunting but I am sure I could find something else to hunt.
Thanks

My many MT friends tell me it's lots better hunting than Colo. And the seasons are longer. I'll check it out one day.

Grass is always greener on the other side. I live in Montana and enjoy it very much. In a hunting stand point, Montana is good to me. I also usually travel to South Dakota every fall to hunt too.

Montana would offer you a broader range of animals to hunt. Great Falls & Helena are good places to live. Great Falls is windy most of the time.
