Elk In Washington?
 

So I've been out and about scouting for elk and mule deer but I haven't heard any bugling? Is anyone hearing anything yet or are we still about a week out? I'm located in the far northeast corner over in Ione. Just curious if anyone else is hearing the bulls around them sounding off yet? I might head out tomorrow morning around 2-3 to see if I can get some to talk!:)

Have not heard any yet. Understand they are talking in Northern Idaho.
Still a tiny bit early, I think
I plan to use Jim Horn's "silent calling" technique first couple of days.

Here on the west side, I've been hearing them bugle for about the past 5 days or so.. No big locator bugles, just bugles to talk with the herd.

The Bulls are really starting get fired up now. Most I’ve seen are coming in quit and responding to calls, but have also heard bugles as well. Took a nice bull last year about this time and also called in a big bull to 15yrs today. Didn’t get a shot, but let’s not talk about that. I’m still kicking myself.:(

right on good to hear. Hopefully tomorrow will be my lucky day.. I don't hafta work till saturday..then I work 2 days and im off for 7 again. I love vacation and my 7 on 7 off schedule:)
