i'm Just starting bowhunting this year. What areas have y'all hunted in with success? I'm trying to decide a general area to start with and preferably something kinda close to home. I was thinking the Grimes Creek or Cascade area. Anyone have experience with this? Your help is greatly appreciated for this newbie. What special training/license do I need for a bowhunt?

As far as hunting license goes you need 6 months residency and your good to go. Of course you're required to have hunters ed. and bowhunter ed. Contact fish & game and they will help. There is good elk hunting in the area you mentioned you just have to get out there and do some scouting before the season opens, the more the better. click on my website it may help you. elknut
