diy antelope hunt
im looking to take a little trip next august
i figure since im in college diy will be cheaper/tougher thats alright i originally planned on colarado..but theres 49 other states :D i plan to hunt with a bow im just looking for some info on states to hunt in, amount of antelope/ public land/ is there any permits i can buy to hunt smaller areas which limit the amount of hunters per yr? any other adivce would be great |

Since you're talking archery, I'd look at MT there allseason, The tag to look at would be "900" which is a statewide archery only tag (good anywhere of course) and although it is a "draw", The odds are very high to draw the first time around and might even be close to guaranteed. Can't quite remember but I know the odds are really good.

900 achery antelope tags are guaranteed. Look at anywhere in South East Montana, region 7 more public land and speed goats then you could hunt in a life time. Plus you can start hunting August 15th.

theres do it yourself in montana? im gonna have to look into that type hunt. sounds like alot of fun.

do you need the hunt to be in aug.? if it can be in sept. i wouldlook to wyoming. there is more goats than there are people here. very good chance to get a 12-14" goat. if you mess one stalk up, go over the hll in try your luck at another goat! |

I have the 900 tag for MT. Headed out in 3 weeks. I will keep you posted on what I find!!!
