So Cal Public land
 

So is there any public land left in southern califorina? I want to eather do a hog hunt or a deer hunt. I use a rem 30-06 and Been shooting targets out in Mojavie, but I want to put some meat in my freezer! Im in the North hollywood area dont mind a drive. And witch zone would be best for my location to put in for deer tags?

There is plenty of land out there. Look at the river area (Blythe). For pigs you will have to go a bit north. For ducks, check out Wister and for turkey look at San Bernadino Natl. Forrest. Deer may be the biggest challange but it is there. The X zones may be the best for deer. Good Luck.

check out this web site and do some searcher for wildlife land and also use it for deer zone questions...

there are lots of National forests in your area (with a little drive) go to national forests web site to check those out and purchase a few maps...good way to get started
