NM is a draw only State for Elk and Mule Deer. The 2007 Draw is already over here.
You might look into the Texas Mule Deer hunt, and the Colorado Elk hunt.
I think that Colorado has a over the counter for both Elk and Deer. That may be your best bet.
Maybe someone else can give some insite on it.

If U didnt draw on a tag,after october 15th. check the G&F web site www.wildlife.state.nm.us for tags in some units.bow rifle & unit 9 for Ml dates will be determined.good luck
