RE: Colorado Turkey
Well, I saw some (a bunch) during the elk archery season last year near woodland park. Kinda tough though, they always seem to be an easy shot when you dont have a tag for them. I am gonna try it for the first time this year. I am preparing for a healthy skunking. I'll be we saw 30 of them last archery season. It was unbelievable. I drew my bow just to simulate ease of hunt, they were less than 20 yards. But, I am sure it wont be that easy during spring hunt. EJ

RE: Colorado Turkey
I always go back to the farm in KS. I can get two tags back there, and I don't have to walk up and down mountains all day:)
Good luck. There are a few turkeys in CO., finding a place that holds them that you can hunt seems to be the hardest part! |
RE: Colorado Turkey
Does anyone one have any suggestions for a first time turkey hunter? Any units for west slope?

RE: Colorado Turkey
I'm taking my 5 year old for his first time this year. I CAN'T wait! The Woodland Park area is a decent area to hunt. They come over from the USAFA side.

RE: Colorado Turkey
I am free on Mondays and Tuesdays for turkey hunting and know some good spots down here near Pueblo. I missed a spring gobb last yr near Pagosa, I hope not to repeat that again.
