Default southern colorado

i'm trying to find some information on an area i think the name is "poison point park" or forest in southern colorado near pagosa springs and durango areas.it supposedly has about 40-50,000 acres.we are planning a trip to this area next year for an elk hunt and one of the guys going said this was the name of the area.any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks fellow hunters,aim straight, be safe.

There is a "poison park" by Pagoasa Springs. It's in the Weeminuche Wilderness. It's by Williams Creek Reservoir.

to colorado bob and silvertip....thanks for the input now i have a place to start some research. this will be my first trip and i want to make the most of it.yes like all hunters i want to harvest an animal so big a army has to come help us pack it out but more importantly though i will be with some dear friends on my hunting trip of a lifetime. this is a hunt i have wanted since childhood and that was a long time ago.aim straight,hunt smart,be safe.

Grumpy-----Call the San Jaun National Forest either in Pagosa or Durango. Pretty sure you can get maps from them & I think they will mail them to you. I think it's unit 78. It's an open unit----meaning there will hunters there----probably lots of them. Williams Creek is a pretty popular area. It's beautiful county. CB
