Rabbit Hunting in California

What are some public lands good for rabbit hunting in CA? The closer to los angeles the better.

I live in the Sacramento area so I am not familiar with prospective rabbit hunting sites in Southern California. What I would suggest is that you go to the California DFG website. This site contains a list of all the public hunting lands in the state and what species can be found there. When I was new to this area I found this site very helpful.

The Angeles National Forest is open for hunting. As soon as I get my license I will be going (within a month or so hopefully). If you're interested in hunting with me, let me know. You can add me to Yahoo Messenger (alexh_818) or AIM (DrinkBeerNBHappy).
