Montana tags

Question: If I apply for a Montana moose tag and don't get it (which, of course, I won't), can I still apply for an elk tag or an outfitter guaranteed
combo tag?

I belive the deadline for a moose app is in May, while the elk deadline (whether you go through an outfitter or not) is March 15th. So unfortunately, there is now way to find out if you drew a moose tag before the elk deadline. You can apply for both. Like you said, there is little chance you would draw a moose tag, but it could happen that you draw for both moose and elk. That would make for a very fun fall!!!
