Cabelas in Idaho
Looks like I'll be getting a new store closer to home.

RE: Cabelas in Idaho
I envy you. I sure wish we could get one in Seattle.

RE: Cabelas in Idaho
We are getting one in Denver soon, Jan 2007 I think. It'll be alot closer than Sidney so maybe I can get to the store. I only ever been to the one in Kearney NE.

RE: Cabelas in Idaho
seatle would be good, but i think here in vancouver would be better.first of all it would be closer to me.second it would be better buiseness because of the van./port. closeness would bring people from oregon as well as washington.plus all the millions of smalltowns sorrounding portland that no one even knows about.

RE: Cabelas in Idaho
I just hit the new one in Lehi, Utah. Pretty nice place, but I liked the one in Kansas City better. I ended up spending too much money there as usual. They also opened up a Bass Pro Shops in Las Vegas in case any of you come down this way. It is located at the Silverton Hotel and Casino.

There's a sportsmen warehouse in portland about 20mins from PDX. Been there a few times everthing youwant or need they have. May not say cabela's on the building but I'm happy with it.:D

RE: Cabelas in Idaho
I didn't know about the Sportsmans Warehouse in Portland. I'll have to check it out when I head south for turkey in April. The one in Anchorage was a lot of fun to visit! I could feel the plastic burning a hole in my wallet! ;) :D

RE: Cabelas in Idaho
Hrmmm, I had read that North Idaho was trying to get the Cabelas store up here in Post Falls. From what I gathered from the paper, the cities were more pushing for it rather than the company trying to. I was really hoping for a Cabelas up here after going to the South Dakota location about a year ago!! Though I was worried about the smaller, family type Outdoor Stores that I frequent, besides Sportsmans.
Eh, I'd love to have a Cabelas here, but it would probably be better off on my wallet not to have one!! |
RE: Cabelas in Idaho
It's been reported that Cabela's is looking at a site in Olympia, WA. If everything thing goes just perfect (finacially and such) then they were looking to open it in '08 or '09, forgot exactly.

RE: Cabelas in Idaho
I would love to have a Cabelas here in Washington, but if there is a city that would be LESS hospitable to Cabelas than Seattle it would have to be Olympia! I can already hear the globalgayenvirototalitarians planning their siege! :D
|
RE: Cabelas in Idaho
Yeah... that's really weird. Olympia just doesn't seem like that great of a place for a Cabelas store... though they REALLY lack in any outdoor stores there, I honestly can't really think of one.
(I'm originally from Oly) |
RE: Cabelas in Idaho
do u know if the store is open yet? if so were in boise is it? is it by the sportsmans wearhouse?
|
RE: Cabelas in Idaho
they also have to think about people in other states that are closest to this cabelas would know seattle better than olympia or van couver.
|
RE: Cabelas in Idaho
I know they're not in the same league, but I just read on Sportsmen's Warehouse is opening a store in Federal Way in June! Woo Hooo!
|
RE: Cabelas in Idaho
