NM Gila Wilderness
 

I drew a rifle elk tag in the NM Gila Wilderness (16B) Oct 15-19. I normally hunt archery only and need help finding info on the unit for rifle hunts. Most importantly, where will everyone else be hunting i.e. is it going to be crowded everywhere I go (within walking distance)? I plan on backpacking in (probably by myself) but would like to find out which parts of the unit are promising to scout and which areas are good for glassing v.s. those that aren't.

If you know of a hunting forum or site that I can consult with others who have gone on this hunt that you can point me to that would help also.
