Goose Decoys

I'm just starting to goose hunt. What is the average amount of decoys or I guess what is a good number to start out with. Any ideas and suggestions would be a BIG help.

Field hunting Canada's I would say around 36 (3 doz.). Water a 1-2 dozen is good. Snows as many as you can make.
