Well fellows today was the last day here in Nc and it was awesome. Even though we didnt kill but 2 birds this morning it was the fact of what we saw. we sit there this morning and had 2 scaup buzz and called them back and killed them at about 15yds. heard some mallards on the water all morning but never seen but 2 of them so we took off in the boat with the trolling motor to try and sneak up on them we got around the bend and the bank was lined with ducks there had been about 150-200 mallards on the water all morning behind us and it only sounded like a couple of birds so we flushed them up and set some decoys tried to call them back they flew for a solid hour after that had one come in range but your always waiting for that better shot. but that was the most mallards i have ever seen rafted up on a lake around here it took till the last day but we finally got some of them Northern mallards with them cold fronts. another thing i noticed them birds were very spooky they would circle about 8 or 9 times just to sit down with real mallards they werent stupid ill tell you that. but anyway here is a of this mornings kill.

Thats all she wrote for the season it want be long and ill be after them early season pier mallards.
Now its time to break out the Crappie rods
