wind question

I would like to hunt this bay of a large lake. The water is not very deep, and depending on when you go there, there may not be any water in it at all except a little stream that runs through the middle. The little stream flows close enough to the weed line in a few places where I can hunt it and still be hidden. The stream runs in a general east- west direction and is not very wide (maybe 10ft), but the wind is from the north. My question is will the ducks land into the wind eventhough there landing area is small, or will they follow the flow of the east- west stream for a bigger landing area.

I hope this makes sense to everybody.

Thanks

Chris

RE: wind question

They will cut into the wind at the last minute. I hunt a lot of little spots around here and one is a creek that flows east and west but the wind is from the south and they still dump in. A small amount of current sure makes the deeks move like real birds swimming up the creek.;)

I would guess that they will still follow the stream and finish into the wind when they are really close.
