RE: improved modified waterfowl choke
I think it is too tight of a choke for almost all applications.

RE: improved modified waterfowl choke
I use a modified choke in my 870 for most of my waterfowling, even on the Greater Canadas either pass shooting or over dekes. Doing real good this year too.

Woooweee, that's a lot of choke for steel...pattern it you'll see!!!! I use a Light Mod. and it's all the choke I need (under 45 yards)... But, you need to try it out in your gun, that's the only way you'll know for sure...heck it may be just right for you...not all chokes pattern the same....

Patterned it today, a 18 " total at 30 yards with 3.5" federal speed shok #2's, too tight!!!!

RE: improved modified waterfowl choke
You would most likely use that for shooting Large geese at long range, and medium/ small geese at long range.
