RE: Goose Decoy

Basspro shop has several models to choose from as does Cabellas.......

They have both rag and molded types.

What is everyone's opinion on these kind of decoys? I have always liked the look of them but I was watching a hunting show and they said that geese are smart enough to realize that only birds of prey can hover so many will spook thinking it is a hawk or eagle.

You can make them out of a silohete. But I would think that they do flare geese at times.

This is one of the one's I made. The wings are made of very thin Underlay and are attached with springs through the body and one over the back for movement.
