early goose season
this is my first year in early season goose. i am looking for a place to hunt early season goose. preferabely regions 2 or 1. i cant seem to find any state parks or public land that offer it , does anyone know of any? BTW i am looking in the state of illinois thanks

I can't offer any suggestions on public hunting opportunities in IL. but I can suggest you start knocking on some doors. Often times the land owners welcome some relief from those pesky geese that eat their weight every day!
It's a little easier to gain access for upland game and waterfowl than deer. Lots of farms raise cattle, etc. and fear high powered rifles. Shotgunners aren't as theatening for some reason.
