Sept. goose season

Got a small spread some full body Judge ( made 1 into a Mojo, sweet )and some silhuoettes I cut out of luaun and painted up about 30 in all. What do you think is the best setup for early resident goose that opens Sept,1 here in Maryland.

Hunt where the geese want to be , if you are a feild hunter ,hunt the feild that they were in last night , if you can't get permission hunt as close to that feild in a simmelar feild between roosting area and feeding feild . I will be hunting one of several cut wheat stubble feilds .
If you hunt the water hunt where they have been staying , they will move so stay mobil.

Not only do you want to hunt the field that they were in you also want to set up exactly where they were feeding the day before. The geese will feel comfortable seeing geese there and come on in with their feet down back-peddaling their wings.

Here in michigan they are feeding in wheat and oat stubble every morning and evening. Stubble is the best place to hunt them, chopped corn fiels, chisel plowed fields and pastures are also good places. Good luck.
