I jump some dams. But nothing beats jumping a little farm pond.

I love puddle jumping. It's my favorite way to shoot ducks. Just beware decoys. I snuck up on a pond once, after seeing a duck through the reeds. I crawled to the edge, and jumped yelling "HAW!!!". The ducks didn't move, and then I heard outrageous laughter coming from the grass! Whoops!:D

I have only jumped on small creekls and rivers but it is a lot of fun, better than other types of walking hunting like upland birds in my opinopn.

I puddle jump alot! Around here feeder ponds near big water hold lots of birds. They're looking for food and safe place to lay up for a while away from the pressure.

I usually set up on an 8 acre pond and have about 5 others nearby. All are within a 1/4 to 1/2 mile from a lake. I hunt the dekes until around 10:00 am then jump the ponds on the way home.
