12gauge rem 870 syn 26" 3"chamber ?
 

hey im 13 and i was wondering if this is a good gun for me ive shot alot of 12 gauges so they dont bother me is the remington 870 syn 26"barrel 3'' chamber a good duck gun loaded with winchester 3" drylock 2 shot ?

Just one more thing to buy ,if it was a express it comes with a mod choke . A IC choke , I have found the IC to a perfect duck choke , pateren your gun.

I started waterfowling with a 870 3" chamber and never had much of a problem killing ducks. I have used the dryloks and they work fine, but for 3" ammo i buy federal speed shok #3's and kent fasteel, they cost the same or less than the drylocks and perform better at 1550 fps. Good luck

i was the same as carpmaster. after the first season i wanted something better than a 3" pump. so i bought an SBE.

for another $125 you can get the baikal mp-153. 3.5" semi, matte finish, comes with 3 extended tubes. a friend of mine bought one a year ago, and i'm impressed with it. alot of bang for the buck.

I went to the benelli nova for about the same price as the 870 and love it for waterfowling, they are very functional and durable and it has served me well until im better paid and can afford a SBEII!

I have a Winchester 1300 black shadow for deer. Same gun just different barrel. I like the action, although I haven’t shot it yet. I might get a barrel for birds for my daughter. I also had a Remington 870 Wingmaster years ago and that was a good shotgun. I’m not sure about the quality of the 870 now days but it was well made back in the 80’s.
