load for 870

I was wondering what shells you guys would recommend me to try out of my rem 870 for geese this coming year. I know it's early but i have a buddy who wants me to go with him and i'm more then excited. He said about tryin the Hevi shot but any suggestions would me greatly appreciate. I have hunted about everything imagineable but have never hunted geese or used anything but lead shot.

How old is your shot gun? It sounds like it is an old 870?

Anything from 2's up to T's will do just fine. I would lean more towards the T's later in the season and the 2's or BB's in the early season

For 3" goose loads I like Federal Speedshok or Kent Fasteel with BB size shot. #1 is the lowest size I will use for geese. For 3" I would recommend hevi-shot #2 or 4. Good luck!
