Learning to Call ducks

Is there anyone that knows about a seminar or some type of school/instructor led class on learning how to call ducks. I love the hunting that I have experienced the past 2 years, but I can only go when someone goes that knows how to call and I would really like to learn how so that I can go whenever I get a chance.

thanks!

Haydel's has a very good instructional cd on calling all types of waterfowl. Not just Mallards. I'm partial because I grew up in Bossier City where the Haydel's live and manufactuer their calls. But when I was learning, I picked up any instructional CD or video or cassette I could get my hands on. The rest is practice, practice, practice.

Instuctional tapes are a huge help, I have numerous ones that I practice along with regularly. As far as seminars, I have been to some that were set up by a very large sporting goods store near where I live. I would call local shops and ask them, maybe even local sporting clubs, and also you could check with local chapters of Ducks Unlimited they might know of seminars and functions going on in your area that would be benificial to you. Good luck!

I like to use either audio tapes/cd's or video. I like videos the best. I dont know of any real good ones off the top of my head though.

Go buy a copy of The Art of Commanding Ducks by Phil Robertson. If you can't learn from this tape (video) you won't learn from any of them. It is as plain and informative as any I've ever seen. Any good sporting goods store will have it.
