Pics, Pics, Pics!!
So I finally got the film developed from this last season. It was the first trip for my new Lab and he did excellent, he's going to be a great huntin' buddy.
My dad with Poacher Me with Poacher Poacher's very first retrieve. Took him a second to realize that he was allowed to put his mouth on it, but once he figured it out he sure did get the hang of things!Sorry if the pictures are a little blury. I don't have a scanner so I'm forced to take a picture of the picture with my digital camera. |

Where we hunt it's mostly Mallards, widgeons, and coots. During the latter part of the season when we usually have time to hunt it's mainly the last of the Mallards pushing through.

Carpmaster - I've been duck huntin' here in WA for the past 23 years... on the east side ... near Potholes Reservoir... and it depends on where in the season you are... early, mid or late. Early (Oct. opener - early Nov.) brings as mixed a bag as you would ever want... widgeon, green wing, pintail, mallard, gadwall, red head, shoveler, etc. Mid (early Nov. - early Dec.) seems to bring predominantly gadwall, widgeon and mallard. Late (mid-Dec - Jan closing) is usually mallards. |
