RE: Skybusting....a lost art??

When I first started hunting at 8 yr old[lead shot] we'd shoot out to 40yd. with the steel now'a'days I'd feel OK at 50yd. shot at geese with a good[Terror] choke. The Terror chokes pattern like crazy, I've never seen a more impressive choke tube. Practice is the key, practice with hunting loads, not "light" loads

Rule of thumb I use the length of the bird (mallard size) is less than the width of may barrel (12 gauge) it is too far away. A teal is about half a barrel width. A goose is about twice barrel width.

Buckmaster, judge for yourself. I've seen even better patterns posted by members of the 'fuge.

Not so fast Buckmaster, they will make a choke for any shotgun, including Mossberg. Just e-mail them and they'll set you up. I'm thinking about getting a 935 and adding a .675 Terror to it, could be a helluva deadly combo!!
P.S......Tell your wife "your welcome" for me

buckmaster2000. when i pattern for duck loads i usually draw a mallard size duck centered in the 30" circle. make sure it is lifesize. then i can pattern at longer distances and can get an idea for the size of the deer. i have even tried this with a cardboard cutout for bow target practice since most targets are not really lifesize. you can check with some sportinggoods stores as well. i used to by the patterning targets with the duck already on it. i quit doing that because they on had the duck picture as a frontal view landing. give it a try, it does really help.

Don't EVER buy an 11-87....period!!!!!!!!!!!!!The 935 is a great duck/goose gun....as are many others.. the 11-87 isn't... just PM me, I'll tell you more. The last time I openly told the truth about Rem. it turned into quite the hornets nest :D so I won't start that again, just to keep the peace

P.S.

Remington sucks
