Your opinion...

What do you think about Magnum decoys? Is it worth it for the cost? What do you prefer between weighted and water keels?

i don't feel like they are worth the extra cost. if i had to spend x amount of dollars on a medium to large spread, i'd go with the total quantity of dekes over size of dekes. by medium to large spread, i'm talking about 50~150 dekes.

so if i am going to spend 100$, i already own a dozen magnum.... i should... spend my money of 2 dozen small ones instead of 1 dozen magnums, like the GH set that have the moving heads for 100$.

I'll take mag dekes thank you.Great visibility at long distance and less time to deploy as well as gather up.It's also less bothresome packing a dozen mags than it is 2 dozen standards. The GH that your already using are great. I prefer water keel to weighted for the simple fact of more movement.

Mags are great for big water hunting. When you don't have to tote a bag for 1/4 to 10 miles on your back. The only mags I own are Canvasbacks, redheads, and bluebills with weighted keels for just that reason. If you have transportation to get to your hunting spot you can't beat mags but if you have to walk any distance stick with the standards. Cheaper and you can carry a heck of a lot more witout risk of heart faliure especaially the water keels. If you carry out weighted keels you may as well just get the mags get a couple dozen in your bag throw it on your back a truck a couple hundred yards through weeds and timber It's alot of fun. What I'm trying to say is if you walk get standards with water keels. Anything thing else is your preferance.

I advantages don't outweigh the inflated cost.

I perfer weighted keel over water as well.

RE: Your opinion...

Everyone has their own opinion so her is mine backed with about 55 years of use. Supermags should help if you are hunting big water, much more visibility. Magnim if you are hunting somewhat open marsh. Standard if you are hunting heavy marsh or timber and water keels only if you have either sheltered areas to set up or as was previously stated when you have to haul them a distance on your back. Good luck hope that all these ideas don't confuse you.
