Default Duck calls

Hey i got a single and a double reed duck call. I was wondering if you know of any web sites or books that talk about how to duck call. This may sound stupid, but i am lost. I know practice makes perfect, but how do i practice?

thanks

www.refugeforums.com - good tips and people to ask, look around in there.
www.haydels.com- they have recordings so you can listen to them call.
Hope this helps, it helped me .

i learned from a movie i bought at walmart H.S Waterfowl Duck Calling 101. Find you a tape or something with duck sounds on it and just mess around with it till you get close to the sound, then get mad a cuss when you lose it and cant get it back. then throw some stuff, practice some more, and some more, and some more and you get it. Also what helped me a lot was talkin to a guy at the sporting goods place i got my call at. He gave me like a little 10 minute lesson which taught me more than the hour long video did. Just dont get discouraged about it if you cant get it.

If you have a VCR get the video by Phil Robertson (The duck commander) "The Art of Commanding Ducks". This is the most informative video on the market and I have a lot of them. IMO this is the best!

I don't know how it is in the rest of the country, but in PA and NJ, the best duck call is no duck call, especially on public land. Let the decoys do the work. I've seen calling (bad and good) spook more birds than suck them in. One lake in particular, there would be 10 guys around the lake calling their heads off (and some sounded good.....to me), we'd just shut up and would ALWAYS outgun the other guys. They'd drop right in. You'd let out even the quietest feeding chuckle and ......SEE YA. Game over.
