I' m just wondering what you guys are using...I' m shooting 3 inch #4' s at decoying ducks with good effect.

For Ducks, I use 3" Hevi-Shot. #6 for the first shell followed by a #6 then a #4 -- OR (depends on what the birds are doing) a #6 followed by two #4s.

For Geese, I use a 3.5" Hevi-Shot #4 for all three shells.

Good tip...I hadn' t thought of using a different size for the first close in (hopefully) shot.

I use #2' s in mostly 3" .............

I' m using 3" Kent Fasteel #2' s. Very fast, very deadly on ducks and geese.

Yall i am Shootin Winchester X-pert Steel Shot 3" , 1 Shot had very good success with it During Early Wood Duck Season , and tomarrow will be the first time out For Reg. Season So i hope it Does a Good Job again . Thats Just my 2 Cents Worth!!!

I shoot #4' s and #2' s on ducks and #2' s and bb for geese.
