Default Where are all the greenheads?

I was wondering if you all were having any success on mallards. I have yet to see a single one.

I have been covered up with ring necks, gadwall, ruddy and canvas backs(which I can' t shoot until mid December). Don' t get me wrong, I' m not complaining but it looks like a repeat of last year. I' ve limited out so many times I can' t count them over the last two years but in that same time I' ve only had opportunites on two flights of greenheads.

I know it' s still a little early here but I was hoping you boys up north had some good news.

Plenty to go around up here in Missouri. They like the cold.

I' ve got Green Heads in the freezer, and lots more on the river that I will get to as soon as the deer season is over in a few days. The Canada Geese are also starting to move down in good numbers.
Happy hunting, Happy Thanksgiving,

Michael

drove from tulsa to coffeyville on wednesday morning, didn' t any ducks on any of the ponds along hwy 169. it' s a 70 mile drive.

drove again yesterday morning, there would be 4-20 ducks in about 1/3 of all the ponds and other bodies of water. teal, mallards, and other medium sized ducks. i probably saw 150 ducks total on the drive home yesterday.

A few finally dropped by the pond yesterday morning. We took them both (hens).

Hopefully the cold weather will start pushing them down.

Getting covered up with ring neck and gadwall though. Must have saw 400 birds before 8:30 am. The fog and colder temps really kept them down.
