mute swans adoption
#2

The last thing anyone should be doing on a sportsmen's message board is trying to spread more mute swans into the environment. There is a reason many states prohibit the release of them and actively seek out the nests and addle the eggs. They are imports from across the pond and they destroy habitat for our native waterfowl species and compete for nesting sites. If you do not want them anymore I suggest you eat them.

Swan is down right TASTY! I used to put in for Tundra Swan permits in both VA and NC when I was on the East Coast. I liked to target the younger birds (grey on neck and head) rather than the adult birds. Really a treat when roasted.
